St. John the Evangelist Parish is located in the beautiful village of Spring Green, Wisconsin, surrounded by hills and valleys.
The parish has a membership of about 500 families. Our parish supports a Catholic Grade School (Gr. 4K-5) as well as a Religious Education Program (Gr.1-11).
We are about 40 miles northwest of Madison, Wisconsin, and
are happy to be part of the River Valley area.
Our Church building was erected after the old Church was destroyed by fire in 1988. Our Tabernacle, the lamb carving on the wooden altar, the stained glass in the greeting area and above the Tabernacle were from the old Church and incorporated into the present building designed by William Wesley Peters of Taliesin Architects.
The icons were written by David Giffey, a local Spring Green artist.
